Enrolment Process
To ensure all students will enjoy the personalized programming and one-on-one
academic support they need, the director will schedule a meeting in each new
client’s home, usually prior to the first lesson. Included in the fee* for this
meeting is the review of documentation, the director’s consultation with the
teacher-tutor, and the director’s initial telephone consultation with the
student’s teachers and counselors.
1) STUDENTS WHO ONLY NEED SUBJECT-SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION
discuss the student’s goals with respect to the lessons
discuss the student’s academic history
discuss how and when the lessons will take place, what materials will
be necessary, what area of your home to use, who needs to be present, etc.
set up monthly reporting, if desired
The fee for this mandatory 20-30 minute meeting is 45.00 in
2) STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILTIES OR
discuss the family's goals with respect to the academic support
discuss the student’s academic and social history
discuss relevant health history
document the student’s file with school reports and IEP, as well as relevant
reports from medical and psychological professionals
complete necessary documentation to allow Aldridge-Duff & Associates to
contact all the professionals working with the student (teachers, guidance
counselors, speech and language pathologists, family doctors, etc.)
discuss how and when the lessons will take place, what materials will
be necessary, what area of your home to use, who needs to be present
set up monthly reporting, if desired
The fee for this mandatory 45-60 minute-meeting is 70.00 in
Time spent by the director, in excess of sixty minutes, will be billed at the director's rate.
* This administration fee is waived for clients who receive an assessment
prior to the commencement of tutoring.
